I have a collection of 1995/96 original Nascar diecast cars.?
They are all in original packages, never been opened. I want to sell them but cannot find any information on their worth without buying a book. I have been on several websites and ebay but could not find anything related to these particular older model diecast cars. Can someone please help me.
you could put them on ebay. reserve the price higher than you think they would sell for and see what you get.

The Flintstones In Viva Rock Vegas: Music From And Inspired By The Motion Picture $4.59 You’re probably ready to write this one off as a novelty; after all, 13 of the 15 tracks have the word “rock” in their title. While the Flintstones may have been the coolest Stone Age family, they’re still not the Rolling Stones when it comes to known “rockers.” However, this is a strong collection of rockabilly and early-rock-influenced numbers. Once past the opening Flintstones Cast medley, thin… |

Some of my fondest memories of my childhood is when my brother and I would play in the world of our imaginations with our toy Diecast Cars. It was in this created world we would create race tracks play within the dirt and build hills and valleys that after completed we would pretend to be race car drivers and compete it the big race. Some times he was the champion sometimes I was the winner. There were even times we would break out in a pretend fight set on top of one another and making the other one cry uncle. This was a regular game of ours where we would tickle the other and say if you laugh I get to hit you in the arm, then we would giggle and have such a delightful time and return to racing our little diecast toy cars.
I have other happy memories how we had a received a diecast toy at Christmas this time we opened the package and it was a red Fire Truck like the American Lafrance 550 fire engine that I found at the-diecastcar.com site. Of course now we had a whole new world of imagination that we could enter where we put out fires and saved people’s lives it was fun and exciting all at the same time.
I believe it is cherished memories like mine that so many in the thousands and tens of thousands of all ages have become collectors of ones childhood treasures. Each collector specializes in the diecast toys cars that they have a passion for and keep that little inner child alive while doing it.
This treasured hobby that comes from are childhood leads those to collect memories of cars, trucks, planes and boats to name a few. The only difference now is that because it has become so popular to have diecast cars it has brought in a flood of manufactures helping us to get all those dream cars at an affordable price. Therefore many have more than one collection of diecast toy cars and sometimes add other diecast models into their mix. Lots of collectors have there heart set on a certain model for their collection. In the past it was sometimes very difficult to find, it is no longer now that we have the internet. When you are looking for something special you should check out the number one site out there where they have way over 5000 plus in stock at The-DiecastCars.com
It is a lot of fun searching for that perfect diecast toy that reminds us of our youth. When I got older my mother and I looked at different diecast cars to give to my brother Steven who was a big kid at heart along with being a minister who always wanted to help under privileged children. We found some die cast cars which were absolutely exquisite in every detail and even though he was in his early fifties that Christmas when he opened his present he lit up like the little brother I knew. Before his sudden death Steven and his daughter displayed them proudly on a hand carved curio cabinet with a light shinning down for all to see as they entered his home. Every time I see them now I remember my brother tickling me so I would say uncle and knowing that his daughter who is now owner of this treasure will appear at them with joy and realize that one day she too will be reunited with her father in heaven.

Sparkle $3.32 Before Dreamgirls hit cineplexes in 2006, there was Sparkle. Released in 1976, the low-budget movie (which is also loosely based on the story of Diana Ross and the Supremes) achieved somewhat of a cult following among fans that enjoy a good cry along with their kitsch. Sparkle tells the rags-to-riches (and rags again, for some of the characters) tale of three sisters with gorgeous voices. There’s … |

Dreamgirls $3.68 The big question about this soundtrack is: how’s she doing? No, not Beyoncé, silly–how’s Jennifer Hudson doing? Ac Vehicles: Ac Cobra, Ac Frua, Ac Ace, Ac 3000me, Ac Aceca, Ac 2-Litre, Ac Greyhound, Ac Mk Vi $9.8 Purchase includes free access to book updates online and a free trial membership in the publisher’s book club where you can select from more than a million books without charge. Excerpt: The AC Cobra, also known as the Shelby Cobra, is a British built and designed sports car that was produced during the 1960s. Like many British specialist manufacturers, AC Cars had been using the smooth, refined Bristol straight-6 engine in its small-volume production, including its AC Ace 2-seater roadster. This had a hand-built body with a steel tube frame, and aluminium body panels that were made using English wheeling machines. The engine was a pre-World War II design of BMW which by the 1960s was considered dated. Bristol decided in 1961 to cease production of its engine and instead to use Chrysler 331 cid (5.4 L) V8 engines. Although untrue, it is commonly believed that AC was left without a future source of power and that American ex-racing driver Carroll Shelby saved the company from bankruptcy. AC started using the 2.6 litre Ford Zephyr engine in its cars. In September 1961, Shelby airmailed AC a letter asking them if they would build him a car modified to accept a V8 engine. AC agreed, provided a suitable engine could be found. He first went to Chevrolet to see if they would provide him with engines, but not wanting to add competition to the Corvette they said no. Ford however, wanted a car that could compete with the Corvette and they happened to have a brand new thin-wall small-block engine which could be used in this endeavor. It was Ford’s 260 in³ HiPo (4.2 L) engine – a new lightweight, thin-wall cast small-block V8 tuned for high performance. In January 1962 mechanics at AC Cars in Thames Ditton, Surrey fitted the prototype chassis CSX0001 with a 221ci Ford V8. After testing and modification, the engine and transmission were removed and the chassis was air-freighted to Shelby in Los Angeles on 2 February 1962. His team fitted … More: |

Alfa Romeo P3 $44 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The Alfa Romeo P3, P3 monoposto or Tipo B was a classic Grand Prix car designed by Vittorio Jano, one of the Alfa Romeo 8C models. The P3 was first genuine single-seat Grand Prix racing car and Alfa Romeo’s second monoposto after Tipo A monoposto (1931). It was based on the earlier successful Alfa Romeo P2. Taking lessons learned from that car, Jano went back to the drawing board to design a car that could last longer race distances. The P3 was the first genuine single seater racing car, and was powered by a supercharged eight cylinder engine. The car was very light for the period, weighing just over 1,500 lb (680 kg) despite using a cast iron engine block. The P3 was introduced in June, halfway through the 1932 Grand Prix season in Europe, winning its first race at the hands of Tazio Nuvolari, and going on to win 6 races that year driven by both Nuvolari and Rudolf Caracciola, including all 3 major Grands Prix in Italy, France and Germany. The 1933 Grand Prix season brought financial difficulties to Alfa Corse so the cars were simply locked away and Alfa attempted to rest on their laurels. |

Alfa Romeo Twin Spark engine $51 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Alfa Romeo Twin Spark (TS) technology was used first time in Alfa Romeo Grand Prix car in 1914. In the early 1960s it was used their race cars (GTA, TZ) to enable it to achieve a higher power output from its engines. And in the early and middle 1980s, Alfa Romeo incorporated this technology into their road cars to enhance their performance and to comply with stricter emission controls. Twin Spark name usually refers to the engines installed in Alfa Romeo cars. Initially appearing in Alfa Romeo 75 model and then used in Alfa Romeo 164, 155, 145, 146, 156, 147, 166 models. The TS series engines are all ’4 cylinder inline’ with twin cam (DOHC) shafts. The original 8 valve engine featured a light alloy (Si enhanced alu alloy) block + head, wet cooled iron cylinder liners and the camshafts were driven by double row timing chains (long and short). Similar design to the earlier and famous Alfa Romeo DOHC engines, but with narrower valve angle on this model. The later 16 valve engines had a heavier cast iron block engine, with an alloy head, and the camshafts were belt driven. |

Aluminium materials technology for automobile construction $13.25 Used – The use of large amounts of aluminium in mass-produced cars has been predicted frequently, but has not, as yet, come about. It has been proven that aluminium can be used to replace steel for wheels, body panels, space frames, and bumpers; as a substitute for cast iron in engine blocks, sump covers and the like and to replace copper in radiators and heat exchangers. In most instances, however, there is a significant increase in cost, but the aluminium producers and the car manufacturers ha |

When you think about the words of “famous miniature cars”, it usually comes to mind matchbox cars. The tiny vehicles are know the world over, and later Mattel would make the line of tiny cars and truck famous. Finding out what the history of the play toy is, is a must for collectors. Being informed, will certainly help to decide if it is an original, their true value, and if it is a good deal or not, to buy one.
It might surprise you to find out that the original matchbox design came from an English product company, and by a co-owner, named Jack Odell. He redesigned the first car for his daughter, from a toy that was sold at the company, except it was a much smaller version. The need for the small car was that apparently, she could not take any toys to school that would not fit inside a matchbox, so this is how the idea of die-cast small cars was dreamed up.
Lesney company, as it was known, marketed and distributed through the Moko Lesney company, and after the Lesney legacy went out of business, all of the rights to the name and design went to Moko. If you want to collect the line of vehicles, then be aware that the original distributing company name will be on the toys.
One of the most brilliant plans for the Lesney line was when they developed a retirement plan for their line for the die-cast model of cars. Vehicles would taken off the market after a season of production for the buying public. That is why collectors look for them so vigorously, and will pay high prices for originals. Also, production would be limited, which today draws the value of them to high prices on the open market.
If you are looking for the cars, then known that all originals will come in their unique bright yellow little box, in the shape of a box of matches. If a car is trying to be sold without the box, then look for other defining marks on the car, such as the Moko imprint on the vehicles. Popularity and rarity of certain models, like the die-cast caravan, is just one example of what to look for in the little vehicles.
The condition of cars, trucks, and jeeps, and the packaging it came in is very important, when trying to decide if the selling price is worth the cost. As with other vintage or antiques, all of these factors play into the real worth of it. Only you can decide if it is worth that much to own.
Many new collectors of die-casts do not realize that catalogs of the toys in the Lesney/Moko line, are just as valuable. Any price guides that can be found are a collectible too. As with the vehicles condition on both publications does mean a lot, in value and collectability. Do not be surprised to find more vehicles that are in better shape than the books and magazines. Rough handling by kids does not bode well for paper products.
Knowing all of these facts of history about collecting these rare toy cars and trucks, might just keep you out of being taken advantage of by a sly seller. Read more about the fascinating history of collectible cars and trucks from decades past, and fall in love with them all over again, or for the very first time.

The history, the drama and the excitement of one of the most famous races in all the world can be experienced when you watch the Daytona 500 on the Internet, Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011 from the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla.
This is the dominating race on the NASCAR schedule, and one I look forward to viewing since I found this great software online. It allows you to watch live streaming video coming over the Internet onto your own computer screen.
This software is easy to download, install and operate on any PC or Mac. All you need for a great “trackside seat” is a high-speed Internet connection through DSL or cable and you’re set. Fabulous viewing action can be experienced pulling up a comfortable chair in front of your own computer screen.
The race has come a long way since the first run hot the beach back in 1959 when Lee Petty grabbed an unbelievable $19.050 for the win. Jamie McMurray won $1.5 million in ’10. Recent winners include racing royalty such as Matt Kenseth, Kevin Harvick, Ryan Newman, Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon. These racers and more will be gunning for the Nextel Cup championship that begins at Daytona. Look for Dale Earnhardt to attempt a repeat of his ’04 victory. One of the most winning racers in recent NASCAR history, Tony Stewart, will be looking for his first Daytona 500 win.
Install this great software on your always take-me-along laptop and you’ll be able to watch the Daytona 500 online no matter where you pick your “grandstand” seat since there are high-speed Internet connections available everywhere.

1999 Daytona 500 $54.44 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! The 1999 Daytona 500 was held February 14, 1999 at Daytona International Speedway. Jeff Gordon won the pole. In winning the race as well, he became the first Daytona 500 pole sitter to win the race since Bill Elliott in 1987. This race is known for Gordon’s daring three-wide pass on Rusty Wallace and Mike Skinner. Gordon passed Wallace after ducking to the apron, nearly plowing into the damaged car of Ricky Rudd. Skinner jumped to the outside and they raced three-wide for three laps until Dale Earnhardt gave Gordon the needed push. The race was also known for a determined Dale Earnhardt repeatedly trying to pass Jeff Gordon for the lead on the final lap, but Gordon beat Earnhardt to the finish. The race had a 13-car pileup on lap 135, causing eventual series champion Dale Jarrett to flip twice. He was uninjured. This was also the first Winston No Bull 5 race of the season. |

The History of Die-Cast Trucks
Die-cast truck models have existed nearly as long as the trucks they were modeled after. Improvements in industrial die-casting and metallurgy have benefited the die-cast toy vehicle industry since its beginnings in the early 20th century. The purpose and marketing of the toys themselves has changed as well. However, the collection of these die-cast vehicle replicas remains a widespread hobby with ever growing appeal.
Early Die-Cast Trucks
The earliest die-cast toys were marketed in the early 20th century. The first model designs were simple and crude, consisting of Metal Car or truck bodies with no interior structures or windshields. Vehicle models were cast from a zinc-aluminum alloy called Zamak. The Zamak alloy often contained impurities, and was prone to cracking or degradation over time and with handling. Because of this fact, it is difficult to find die-cast trucks or other vehicle types from this era in Good Condition. The first manufacturers of die-cast vehicles included Meccano’s Dinky Toys line in England and Dowst Brothers’ Tootsie Toys line in the United States.
The production of die-cast toys all but ceased during World War II as raw materials were being diverted towards the war effort. However the innovations in metallurgy and production tooling developed during the war provided practical benefits to the toy industry in the post-war era. In 1947, Lensey began manufacturing the Matchbox series of vehicles, which would become the most widely recognized die cast vehicle brand in the world. Mattel’s Hotwheels brand arrived in 1968 and challenged the dominance of Hotwheels. Both Matchbox and Hotwheels vehicles were designed on a 1:64 scale.
Marketing and Die-Cast Trucks
In the 1960s, marketers began to develop branded vehicles as advertising. These vehicles would bear a company name or logo, and the goal was to influence the buying power of the parents. In the 1980s, large numbers of adults had begun collecting die-cast trucks as a hobby, and the manufacturers responded by generating more precise replica models of many vehicles, since the adult hobbyist was willing to pay more money than the parent of a child. Larger scale sizes, such as 1:18 or 1:12 were introduced as collectables and marketed towards adults.
While trucks had always been a part of the die-cast vehicle market, they gained a large foothold in the 1970s. Manufacturers such as Matchbox and Corgi released multiple versions of the same vehicles, branded in many different ways. Trucks were perfect items for customization, and many bore the branding of large companies.
The economic downturn of the 1980s saw the disappearance of many of the popular die-cast truck brands. Some of the brand names were reborn within new companies. For example, when Lensey went bankrupt, the Matchbox name changed hands a few times, and is now owned by Mattel, who markets Matchbox vehicles in parallel with its Hotwheels line.
Today, die-cast vehicles fall primarily into two markets: toys geared towards children and precise models geared towards adults. Both markets continue to be strong and new versions of both toys and models continue to be released regularly.
